Sharon was born in May 1966.  Sharon's father is Alfred George (Alf) Toovey and her mother was Dorothy Joan (Topsy) Brown.  Her maternal grandparents were Lindsay Murdock Graham Snushall and Margaret Ellen (Nell) McGlenchy.  She has five brothers and seven sisters, named Edward, John, Dorothea, Alan, Peter, Judith, Maxine, Pauline, Kay, Julia, Susan and Denise.  She is the youngest of the thirteen children.
