William was born on September 15th, 1804 in St Helen's Church, Abingdon.  William's father is Thomas Pemberton and his mother was Ann Unknown.  He had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Henry, Charles, Richard, Mary and Ann.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 84 in 1888.  The funeral took place in St Helen's Church, Abingdon.  His burial was on April 6th, 1888 in Abingdon.
