Sarah was born in 1834.  Sarah's father was Charles Pemberton and her mother was Elizabeth Ann Glover.  Her paternal grandfather is Thomas Pemberton and her paternal grandmother was Ann Unknown; her maternal grandparents are John Glover and Elizabeth Jones.  She had three brothers and four sisters, named Charles, Thomas, William, Agnes, Anne, Elizabeth and Mary.  She was the second oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 78 in 1912.
