Charles was born in 1834.  Charles' father was Charles Pemberton and his mother was Elizabeth Ann Glover.  His paternal grandfather is Thomas Pemberton and his paternal grandmother was Ann Unknown; his maternal grandparents are John Glover and Elizabeth Jones.  He had two brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, William, Sarah, Agnes, Anne, Elizabeth and Mary.  He was the oldest of the eight children.  He died in 1834.
