Roy was born in 1909.  Roy's father is Francis O'Shannessy and his mother is Bridget Anastasia Kenna.  His maternal grandparents were Cornelius Kenna and Margaret Nisdale.  He had a brother and a sister, named Leslie and Eileen.  He was the youngest of the three children.  Roy is no longer alive.
