Mary was born in January 1915.  Mary's father was Arthur Robert (Babs) McDonald and her mother is Eileen Mary Dunne.  Her paternal grandparents were James McDonald and Charlotte Warren.  She had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Laurence, Robert, Maxwell, Rex, Hilda, Esme and Merle.
