Margaret was born on October 21st, 1857.  Margaret's father was Joseph McDonald and her mother was Margaret Winterbottom.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward McDonald and Catherine Potaskie II.  She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Thomas, Thomas, William, Charles, Ellen, Mary, Emma and Alice.  She was the sixth oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 86 in November 1943.
