Francis was born in 1888.  Francis' father was Arthur Murphy and his mother was Agnes Mary Josephine McDonald.  His maternal grandparents were Daniel McDonald and Mary Anne Hennessy.  He had two brothers and a sister, named Robert, Clifford and Agnes.  He had an adopted sister named Mary.  He died at the age of 58 on July 9th, 1946.
