Elizabeth was born on April 19th, 1842.  Elizabeth's father was Edward McDonald and her mother was Catherine Potaskie II.  Her paternal grandparents are About Family Tree McDonald and McDonald Family Tree About; her maternal grandparents were John Potaskie and Catherine Sullivan.  She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, John, Edward, Owen, Walter, Daniel, James, Mary, Anne, Catherine and Brigid.  She was the tenth oldest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 11 in 1853.
