Bridget was born in July 1865.  Bridget's father was Edward McDonald and her mother was Maria (Mary) Maher.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward McDonald and Catherine Potaskie II.  She had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, Edward, James, Lillian, Margaret and Mary.  She is the youngest of the eight children.
