Kathleen was born in January 1925.  Kathleen's father was John Francis (Jack) Kenna and her mother was Ethel Mary Murphy.  Her paternal grandparents were Cornelius Kenna and Margaret Nisdale.  She had five brothers and two sisters, named John, Arthur, Edward, Thomas, Robert, Agnes and Ethel.  She is the youngest of the eight children.
