John was born on October 25th, 1874.  John's father was Cornelius Kenna and his mother was Margaret Nisdale.  His paternal grandparents are John Kenna and Mary McReady; his maternal grandparents are Jas Nisdale and Catherine Moran.  He had three brothers and six sisters, named Edmund, James, Michael, Mary, Bridget, Catherine, Theresa, Margaret and Johanna.  He was the fourth oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 95 on December 15th, 1969.
