Mark was born in June 1954.  Mark's father is Jack Douglas Driscoll and his mother is Aileen Patricia McKenzie.  His maternal grandparents were Harold John McKenzie and Ethel Margaret Kenna.  He has two brothers and a sister, named Matthew, John and Jan.  He is the oldest of the four children.
