Winnifred was born on April 5th, 1882.  Winnifred's father was Ebenezer James Dawson and her mother was Eliza Gateland.  Her paternal grandfather was William Dawson and her paternal grandmother is Anne Lydia Barrett; her maternal grandparents were James Gateland and Hanna (Anna/Anne) Potaskie.  She had four brothers and nine sisters, named James, Ebenezer, Harry, Basil, Grace, Minnie, Cecilia, Amy, Eva, Gertrude, Rose, Blanche and Euphemia.  She was the thirteenth oldest of the fourteen children.  She died at the age of 89 on November 18th, 1971.
