Lilian, known as Blanche, was born on March 5th, 1879.  Blanche's father was Ebenezer James Dawson and her mother was Eliza Gateland.  Her paternal grandfather was William Dawson and her paternal grandmother is Anne Lydia Barrett; her maternal grandparents were James Gateland and Hanna (Anna/Anne) Potaskie.  She had four brothers and nine sisters, named James, Ebenezer, Harry, Basil, Grace, Minnie, Cecilia, Amy, Eva, Gertrude, Rose, Euphemia and Winnifred.  She was the eleventh oldest of the fourteen children.  She died at the age of 43 on June 28th, 1922.
