Ebenezer was born on January 5th, 1866.  Ebenezer's father was Ebenezer James Dawson and his mother was Eliza Gateland.  His paternal grandfather was William Dawson and his paternal grandmother is Anne Lydia Barrett; his maternal grandparents were James Gateland and Hanna (Anna/Anne) Potaskie.  He had three brothers and ten sisters, named James, Harry, Basil, Grace, Minnie, Cecilia, Amy, Eva, Gertrude, Rose, Blanche, Euphemia and Winnifred.  He was the third oldest of the fourteen children.  He died at just 1 days old on January 6th, 1866.
