Edward was born in October 1959.  Edward's father was William Harold Brown and his mother is Vilma Daphne (Jean) Irwin.  His paternal grandparents were Lindsay Murdock Graham Snushall and Margaret Ellen (Nell) McGlenchy.  He has three brothers named Stephen, Peter and Geoffery.  He is the oldest of the four children.
