Austin was born on December 18th, 1896.  Austin's father was William Edward Bradstreet and his mother was Mary Ann Howell.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Elvin Bradstreet and Elizabeth Catherine Hughes.  He had five brothers and four sisters, named William, Edward, Fredrick, Edward, Eugene, Catherine, Mary, Aileen and Veronica.  He was the youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 69 on May 20th, 1966.
